I wish there was a way to let everyone at the grocery store know that I'm not nervous and avoid contact because I'm scared of your skin color, but because I'm terrified of socially interacting with the anything outside of my apartment! Guess it's difficult to get that point across sometimes without looking like a prick though.

Maybe you could wear a T shirt or baseball cap displaying the legend "Wearer is Socially Inept, Please Excuse".

I have often considered getting something like that printed for myself. Plus also I need a shirt which says "Busy, please try again later".
